Dr.
Walsh's twenty-year career bridges both television and print
media. From news and entertainment programming, to talk
shows and sports, Dr. Wendy Walsh has anchored, hosted,
reported, investigated, written and produced. Walsh's on-camera
credits include TV host stints on Lifetime, Court TV, Fine
Living Network, CNBC, The Learning Channel, Warner Bros.,
the nationally syndicated magazine show, EXTRA, UPN Channel
13 news in Los Angeles and NBC's Weekend Today Show. In
addition, her numerous news anchor and television host positions
on sports and entertainment shows have been seen on HBO,
Fox Sports Net, Prime Ticket, CBS and ABC.

Her experience as a TV Host has also made Dr. Walsh a
sought-after talent to carry a corporate message to the
media. As a corporate spokesperson she has excelled in direct
response, branded response, advertorial and platform and
keynote speaking. She infuses excitement into national and
international marketing campaigns by delivering precise
marketing, advertising, and public relations messages.
DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY
Dr. Wendy Walsh holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and
her area of interest is Attachment Theory, a psychological,
evolutionary and ethological theory that provides a descriptive
and explanatory framework for understanding interpersonal
relationships between human beings. Her clinical experience
includes work under Dr Laura La Piana, clinical psychologist,
Brentwood, California. As a psychological assistant registered
with the California Board of Psychology, Dr. Walsh has treated
individuals, couples and families for a variety of mental
health concerns including personality disorders, anger management,
eating and substance disorders, and depression.
RESEARCH
EXPERIENCE
Dr. Walsh designed, implemented and authored an empirical
research study on the relationship between adult attachment
style and breastfeeding outcomes. This research study examined
the belief that a mother's internal attachment style, defined
as the affectionate bond that one forms to another, may
be related to breastfeeding outcomes.
PUBLISHED WORK
Adult Attachment and Breastfeeding Outcomes. A dissertation
presented to the faculty of the California Graduate Institute
in partial fulfillment of the degree of doctor of Philosophy
in Psychology. She has also been a contributor to a wide
range of print magazines and has written two successful
nonfiction books, about adult romantic attachments published
by Random House, The Boyfriend Test (2001) and The Girlfriend
Test (2003).
